What is Google Home App?
The Google Home app makes it simple to set up and operate Chromecast, Google Home and other smart devices compatible with Google Home. The app is intended to work with iOS and Android devices only, but there are workarounds allowing you to use some or all of the functionality the Google Home app provides from your MacBook.
How To Use Google Home App on Mac via an Android Emulator
The Google Home app is only compatible with Android and iOS devices, you’ll need to use an emulator to run the Android operating system on your Mac.
Note: If you’re to be set up for the first time, then all Google Home and Chromecast devices require this feature.
There are a variety of Android emulators to choose from, so it’s a matter of personal preference and the resources you have on your Mac. We know that Bluestacks, is a well-known emulator that lets you install and run a variety of Android apps, including the Google Home app.
It’s just a matter of setting up your Google Home devices after you’ve installed the emulator and the Google Home app.
Using Google Chrome for Google Home
You can use some of the Google Home app features in Google Chrome, but it’s limited to only media casting. You must first update Google Chrome to the most recent version before proceeding.
1.Open the Google Chrome browser.
2. In the top right corner, click the three vertical dots.
3. Select Help, then About Google Chrome from the drop-down menu.
Or You can also access these options by typing “chrome:/settings/help” into your browser’s address bar.
4. Make sure your browser is up to date. If an update is available, Chrome will download and install it automatically.

6.. To apply the update, click Relaunch after Chrome has updated.
7. After confirming that Chrome is up to date, you can cast to any of your Google Home or Chromecast devices.
